Old ‘N Bold Blog Posts (Click here)

Old 'N Bold
Old ‘N Bold

Time for a boring exciting story on how blog sites work. The web page for blogs on a site has some unique characteristics. One of them is there can only be one blog page per website. All the blog articles are contained within it, like separate sub-pages. And so it goes. I had to figure out how to have my Old ‘N Bold blog posts show up on my GoGerald.com site.

There are no provisions for what I am doing, which is combining two websites, each with a separate blog page full of articles. The Old ‘N Bold site is being integrated within my GoGerald.com. It was getting to be too big a PIA keeping up two sites. My issue has to do with how blogs and WordPress interact.

I don’t know if I am pushing WordPress’ limits when I try to have two blog pages contained within GoGerald.com. We’ll see how it goes in my attempt to fake out WP! https://wordpress.com/support/posts-page/

Don’t forget to go to the page titled ‘Forum’ It has more blog-type posts.

I found It is better to keep them separated by categories this way. Seems that WordPress insists on keeping Blog page posts chronologically only.

There Is A Difference!

There is a distinction between GoGerald.com and Old ‘N Bold. GoGerald.com tends to wax political at times. Other times it tends toward slightly philosophical. Old ‘N Bold was designed to appeal to seasoned citizens over fifty who are entering their denouement of life. I have articles that appeal to older adults, like how Social Security and Medicare actually work from my hands on experience. GoGerald.com also focuses on my fiction writing and semi-cerebral monographs.

I have a couple of ideas in mind. Let’s see if I can win this battle! I started by naming the blog page in Old ‘N Bold ‘Forum.’ It becomes a typical WordPress page instead of a second blog page. Check it out and follow my efforts to trick the system. Now we shall see if blogs and WordPress can be made to cooperate. Join the fun and let me know what you think!
